Hi guys,
Since I enjoyed answering the last bookish tag questions I posted, I thought it’d be fun to do another one. This tag is more of an amalgamation of different kinds of bookish questions. Enjoy!
The Book Blogger Memory Challenge
- Q: Name a book written by an author called Michael.
A: Gone by Michael Grant. I quite recently finished this, and was surprisingly impressed.
- Q: Name a book with a dragon on the cover.
A: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. More specifically, the Hungarian Horntail dragon. (Do I get extra points for that?).
- Q: Name a book about a character called George.
A: I’m going to go with the classic Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. At my old high school, if you managed the entire time you spent reading that book without seeing ‘George shoots Lenny’ scrawled across the front pages, you were a rarity.
- Q: Name a book written by author with the surname Smith.
A: I’ve racked my brain for a good ten minutes and can’t come up with anything. Sorry!
- Q: Name a book set in Australia.
A: Oh no, I’m going downhill. Nothing’s springing to mind.
- Q: Name a book with the name of a month in the title.
A: Ah, I’m pulling it back with this one. Tenth of December by George Saunders. I had to read this collection of short(ish) stories for University last year, and this was probably one of my favourite books that I read for it.
- Q: Name a book with a knife on the cover.
A: Oh dear. I’m well and truly failing.
- Q: Name a book with the word ‘one’ in the title.
A: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I’ve never actually read it, so I don’t know who wrote it. Oops.
- Q: Name a book with an eponymous title.
A: Four by Veronica Roth. I’ve just finished re-reading this, actually.
- Q: Name a book turned into a movie.
A: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I’ve only ever watched the film version, but I’d definitely like to read it.
Phew! So I passed! With a strong 7/10 in the end. I had a bad feeling I was going to fail at one point.
Now, here are just some bookish questions that I thought I’d enjoy answering and you might enjoy reading (hopefully).
Q: Favourite book of your favourite series?
A: Has to be either The Order of the Phoenix or The Half Blood Prince in the Harry Potter series. I can never pick between the two.
Q: A book that makes you happy.
A: Oddly, I’m going to go for Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. While this book actually has a quite tragic plot line, it’s also in equal parts heart-warming and heartbreaking.
Q: A book that makes you sad.
A: Before I Die by Jenny Downham. I’m not much of a crier, but this book does something to me.
Q: Most overrated book.
A: John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars. I used to love it, but eventually I just became sick of it.
Q: A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving.
A: I’m going with City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I really didn’t like this book until about half way through. But it’s as if I just turned to the next page and ended up loving it.
Q: A book that reminds you of home.
A: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Ironically, the focus of this book is about moving AWAY from home, to university. Yet it always reminds me of home, mostly because I always remember reading it while eating my dinner.
Q: Book turned movie and completely desecrated.
A: The Host by Stephanie Meyer. I remember loving this film my first time watching it, but hating it the second time. Who knows, maybe next time I’ll feel differently.
THANK YOU FOR READING!
You are very well book read. Like yourself I’d also love to read The Lovely Bones, I saw the movie and would enjoy the read but with now having children I might see it from a different perspective and may end up putting the book down mid way through!

Thank you! Yeah, I totally understand, and can definitely see why it’d feel different reading it while having children of your own! If I were you though I’d give it a go 😊

Will try and gear myself up to doing it. Good luck with your future reads too.
